Two Years Running: Rockwood Custom Homes President Allison Grafton named as one of WXN’s Most Powerful Women

CALGARY – November 18th, 2014 – For the second year in a row, Allison Grafton, president of Rockwood Custom Homes has been named as one of the Women's Executive Network’s (WXN) Top 100: Canada's Most Powerful Women. Repeating her 2013 success, Allison was again selected as an outstanding Canadian entrepreneur and is featured in the CIBC Entrepreneurs category.

The WXN awards celebrate and highlight the professional achievements of women across the country in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors at a time when corporate Canada is undergoing pressure to promote more female leaders into board and executive office positions.

“Despite ever-changing styles and tastes, great leadership is timeless,” says WXN founder, Pamela Jeffery. “Top 100 Award Winners are a testament to the incredible range of female talent and leadership in Canada and proof that change is happening, with more women earning a place at the highest levels of Canadian organizations.”

Since its inception in 1997, WXN has created and delivered innovative networking, mentoring and professional and personal development opportunities for women in leadership roles. Allison has been a member of WXN’s mentoring program since her win in 2013 and cherishes the opportunity to mentor and share her experiences with up-and-coming leaders as well as other established WXN members.

Allison herself was humbled by her back-to-back win, “I am again honoured to receive this important distinction and share it with my business partner, my family and friends, and our amazing Rockwood staff who stand behind me and the business, always.”

WXN’s 100 women leaders for 2014 will be recognized at this year’s Top 100 Leadership Summit and Awards Gala held on November 27th, 2014 at Toronto’s Sheraton Centre. This year’s theme is “Agents of Change” and will feature thought leaders across a variety of industries who will provide insights on how they managed to become agents of change in their professional and personal lives. More than 400 women are expected to be in attendance at this sold out event.
