My family has had the pleasure of having Allison and Rockwood Custom Homes build our home twice in just over two years. We selected Rockwood Custom Homes to build our dream home a few years ago, in large part because of Allison herself. Recommended by mutual friends, we met Allison and immediately found her to be knowledgeable, helpful, and passionate about building beautiful, quality homes. What set her apart from other builders was her relentless focus on us, the client. She took time to listen, shared her vast experiences and suggestions, and worked with us to truly understand our needs. As first-time home builders, this client focus was exactly what we wanted.

Allison’s dedication to quality and client satisfaction really showed throughout our first build, and the quality of the people she employs was clear. Our house was perfect – the exact-right combination of beauty, functionality and quality. The attention by Allison and her team to the budget, getting value in the right areas, and adherence to promised timelines was also stellar. We were smitten with our new home.

Unfortunately, three weeks after taking possession, the house next door, under construction, experienced a devastating fire. I texted Allison at the moment that the fire crossed over to our roof, and she and two other members of her team were there at our side within minutes. She gave us her word that night, as we watched fire and water devastate our home, that Rockwood would be there with us, and would rebuild as quickly as possible and something even more beautiful. The next morning, she and her team were there, waiting with me to tour the damage and providing emotional support. Allison and Rockwood’s finance team worked directly with our insurance company throughout our rebuild so that we would not have to. Allison was personally dedicated to ensuring our home would be better than before, and worked with us to make as many tweaks as we could so we could feel there was a ‘silver lining’ to this devastating experience.

Allison and her team even organized an amazing home repossession party for us, so that we would be welcomed by great energy and didn’t feel alone that first night. She was obviously concerned about our emotional wellbeing and happiness, as well as the quality of our home. She even arranged to provide us help with unpacking and organizing our contents so I didn’t have another large move to navigate.

I believe it is rare to find someone in any business, let alone the challenging business of custom home building, who cares this much. But to also have the attention to detail, brains, passion and perseverance that Allison has is exceptionally unique. Allison is amazing.
