Allison and her team at Rockwood Custom Homes have created something very unique in the custom home construction industry. When we first met with Allison, we had already made several attempts at developing plans with other professionals for a significant rebuild of our home; none, however, had been able to meet all of our objectives. We loved the feel and location of our home, but it was dated and not designed for a growing family.  Rockwood took us through a very thoughtful design process and it was then that all the pieces of the puzzle finally came together.

Rockwood’s design and build process includes detailed budgeting and timeliness which are updated every two weeks and are adhered to rigorously. After 10 months of construction, Allison apologized because the handover of the house was two hours behind schedule.  From the time that Allison spent understanding and building to our objectives to the time she welcomed us back into our new home, the process was unbeatable and impressive.

We had previously done a number of renovations and they were often experiences in frustration and sometimes disappointment. Our experience with Rockwood was the opposite of those—nothing was ever a problem; they want to ensure that you are happy with the process and the end product at every step of the journey. Their attention to detail and enforcement of their very high standards for workmanship, timeliness and professionalism with the sub-trades is outstanding. In the end, Rockwood had taken our original house and made it into a beautiful, well-designed house that our family enjoys and appreciates everyday. It is rare that you end a building project with greater respect and appreciation of the builder than before the process started. However, Rockwood made the experience worth writing and talking about.
