At Rockwood, we know that our formula for success is exceptional. And now, so do readers of the Calgary Herald. The Herald’s recent feature about Rockwood Custom Homes shares our spectacular and notable growth trajectory, including details about our expansion (from Calgary) into the Okanagan Valley. Read about how we successfully replicated our business model of excellence, financial integrity and exceptional service in the Kelowna area. Of particular note is Rockwood’s first exclusive development in that area, The Benches in the heart of Kelowna’s McKinley Beach. The limited-lot development overlooks a 40-acre vineyard and Okanagan Lake, with exclusive marina access.
For the second year in a row, Rockwood Custom Homes is proud to announce its official recognition as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies 2021 by Deloitte. This prestigious honour goes to a small selection of Canadian companies that best demonstrate leadership in the areas of strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment, and financials to achieve sustainable growth. This year, additional criteria for COVID-19 response and management were also considered.
In its March 2021 feature, “Industry Rockstars”, Rockwood President and Founder, Allison Grafton, took her rightful place amongst other leading females in the Calgary business scene. Allison’s passion for the business, superior customer care, and incredible vision for Rockwood’s success have landed her at the top of her field. This year in particular, where more time is spent at home, building legacy homes “right” has never been more important; and Allison continues to ensure Rockwood stays at the top of the Calgary luxury construction scene. Calgary’s Springbank continues to be a haven for residents looking for just the right blend of rural and urban living.
Springbank is a district in Rocky View County west of Calgary, with the Bow River on the north and Highway 8 on the south, stretching west down the back side of Broadcast Hill to Highway 22. First settled in the late 19th Century, it was named for the springs emanating from small coulees running through the district. Many of Springbank’s pioneering families have owned land since before Alberta was a province and have kept it in the family. Springbank is now, as it was then, a very desirable place to build a home in the country.
Rockwood’s Lazy H Estates, is similarly situated on a historic parcel of land, held in the Hodgson family for generations. The Lazy H development is comprised of nine two-acre lots, all with views of Calgary’s spectacular foothills and nearby Rocky Mountains.
Created for families looking for the ideal mix of rural and urban living, Lazy H is close to Springbank’s excellent schools, and the local amenities of Aspen Woods and West Springs. Minutes from the new Stoney Trail exchange, residents of Lazy H will have easy access to the downtown core, while still offering all of the benefits of exclusive estate living. The development also includes a charming natural pond that’s ideal for skating in the winter, and a great place to enjoy and observe a variety of wildlife.
