Another big win for Rockwood and Allison Grafton

Winners of two Stevie Awards for Women in Business
Calgary, Alberta – September 23, 2021 – Rockwood Custom Homes and its president and founder, Allison Grafton, are celebrating a double win today. Allison Grafton was awarded a Gold Stevie® Award in the Female Entrepreneur of the Year in Canada category and Rockwood Custom Homes has been named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the Women-Run Workplace of the Year category in the 18th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

Internationally recognized, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run, worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards and are a prestigious distinction. More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 100 categories. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 160 judges around the world.

This is Allison Grafton’s fourth time being recognized at the Stevie Awards in the Female Entrepreneur of the Year in Canada category, where she’s previously received Gold, Silver and Bronze recognitions. It is also Rockwood Custom Homes’ second time receiving the Women-Run Workplace of the Year award, having been recognized with a Gold distinction in 2020.

Said Allison of the double recognitions for herself and Rockwood at this year’s Stevie Awards competition, “This past year presented new challenges for Rockwood, our industry, and for all of us, as we navigated the complexities and the new world environment brought about by COVID. From new policies to safety programs to innovative ways of working together, the Rockwood team proved there’s little that we can’t overcome. These Stevie distinctions remind us about the strength of women in organizations—our ability to lead, to guide, to grow—and to do it all with heart. Thank you to the organizers and sponsors of the Stevie Awards for Women in Business for these two amazing awards.”

Maggie Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards, said, “We thought the remarkable stories of achievement we saw in last year’s awards couldn’t be topped, but we were wrong. Women-owned and -run organizations have contributed significantly to the increase in innovation and entrepreneurial activity we’ve seen globally since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Winners will be celebrated during a virtual awards ceremony on January 13, 2022. Details about the Stevie Awards for Women in Business and the list of Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners in all categories are available at www.StevieAwards.com/Women
