Rockwood Custom Homes breaks ground on Residences of King Edward

New luxury residence to be Calgary’s first-of-kind development located in master-planned arts and cultural hub

Calgary, Alberta (May 10, 2017) – Today, local officials, architects and members of the art and cultural community of Calgary will join the partners of Rockwood Custom Homes and their honoured guests to officially break ground on the Residences of King Edward (RKE). The RKE project is a first-of-kind for Calgary and for Rockwood; it is the city’s only luxury development located in a master-planned arts and cultural hub.

“In breaking ground on the Residences of King Edward, we are launching a new and truly unique way of living into the Calgary luxury real estate market,” said Allison Grafton, president of Rockwood Custom Homes, “This refined collection of single-level flats will appeal to a niche market of arts and cultural aficionados desiring to make their homes amidst art, theatre and culture in Calgary’s inner city.”

This beautiful and refined collection of 19 flats is already 65-per-cent sold out, with only seven flats remaining for pre-sale. Ranging in size from 1,400 to 3,600 square feet, a selection of two- and three-bedroom units are offered alongside five penthouses, all with spectacular city and park views. Six design inspirations and 14 original floor plans create a myriad of customization options.

“Not only is this a one-of-a-kind development, but it is located in a one-of-a-kind community. cSPACE King Edward is an arts hub, innovative venue and co-working space for Calgary to experiment, explore and spark change,” said cSPACE president and CEO, Reid Henry. “We’re home to some of Calgary’s most creative and collaborative artists, non-profits and inspired innovators and are thrilled to have Rockwood’s Residences of King Edward as part of our community.”
